The city council of the Costa Brava seaside resort Tossa de Mar has adopted a proposed ordinance that makes it illegal for anyone to have sex on the beach — or, for that matter, in any public place.
The ordinance also prohibits begging in the streets, prostitution, overly noisy bachelor parties, and the use of alcohol or drugs in public. Continue reading
The Cabinet of Spain has made nearly €7 million available for repair work to be carried out along the beaches of the Costa Brava, in the province of Girona (Catalonia).
The work is necessary to repair extensive storm damage to beaches and beachfront roads in Tossa de Mar, San Feliu de Guixols, Platja d’Aro, Sant Antoni de Calonge, Cadaqués, Port de la Selva, L’Escala and Blanes. Continue reading
