Ryanair continues using Girona airport

Ryanair Good news for tourists who fly to the Costa Brava via Ryanair.

The low-cost airline — used by many who vacation in Tossa de Mar, Lloret de Mar, Blanes and other places throughout Catalonia — has agreed to remain flying to and from Girona airport until at least 2016.

No Gay Pride in Blanes

Gay Blanes If you came to Blanes this past weekend expecting to find the Gay Pride 2010 festival, you were out of luck.

The city, which just last year declared itself to be ‘gay friendly’, denied organizers a permit saying that gay tourism cannot coexist with the family-friendly image Blanes wants to portray.
